Conference Objectives:
  • Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for young people. Youth spend much of their lives online and social media can exacerbate issues with a child at risk but can also be used as a safety net. The impact uses of social media will be discussed in content of suicide for people aged 24 and under.
  • Learn about new tools to help prevent suicide.
  • Gain knowledge into what it is like to be a survivor of suicide through their experiences following the loss of a loved one.
  • Increase awareness of suicide as a public health issue by gaining new knowledge in the field of suicide prevention.
  • Networking opportunities with mental health practitioners in attendance.
  • Audience participation & questions encouraged.

Cost: $30 which includes 3.5 Category 1 CEUs for Social Workers & light lunch
