Successful Campaign for Folly Quarter Middle School

FQMSThe Folly Quarter Middle School community raised funds and gathered food for people in Grassroots’ shelter programs during a recent campaign. The Folly Quarter Middle School Leo Club filled 19 “motel boxes” of provisions for families who are housed in temporary shelters at local motels. The students gathered the food, packed the boxes and solicited funds for grocery gift cards to supplement the contributions. The Neighbor Network, founded by Karen Mobley, also raised over $1,800 for Grassroots from their Folly Quarter Middle School yard sale. The yard sale generated funds from donated items for sale, but it also gave away some of the clothing and household items to people in need.
