Grassroots Fundraiser at Park Ridge Creamery Wednesday, Sept. 8

Pam Long Photography and Creamery Host Event to Raise Funds and Awareness of Suicide Prevention Services at Crisis Intervention Center

Pam Long Photography and Park Ridge Creamery and are hosting an ice cream fundraiser for Grassroots at the creamery in Historic Ellicott City on Wednesday, Sept. 8, from noon- 8 p.m. First responders and other special guests will be dropping in throughout the day to thank attendees.

According to organizer Pam Long, the benefit is designed to educate people about Grassroots and its crisis intervention services, especially suicide prevention. The event theme is “Here’s the Scoop: you don’t need to be alone.” A portion of the proceeds from the Sept. 8 sales of ice cream cones, cups and pints will be donated to Grassroots.

Pam Long Photography is a full service portrait studio. Park Ridge Creamery features Baltimore’s Taharka Brothers premium, small-batch ice cream with Park Ridge Trading Co.’s gourmet additions for unique flavor combinations.

The fundraising event includes a 50/50 raffle and auction basket that will be up for bids. Park Ridge Creamery is located at 3741 Hamilton Street in Historic Ellicott City next to Little Market Café. For those unable to attend, contributions to Grassroots may be made on-line here.
