THIS SESSION HAS SOLD OUT. Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack — even if you have no clinical training — Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health related crisis. In this eight-hour course, you will learn how to apply a five-step action plan to situations such as helping someone through a panic attack, engaging with someone who may be suicidal or assisting an individual who has overdosed. Cost: Free to people who live or work in Howard County; $69 for others

Audience: Appropriate for adult learners 18 and older
